Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, drivers, and visitors while providing customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This post requires a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of warehouses, tank and yard areas, trailer lots, entrances, and perimeter fencing, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.Monitor and control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, checking vehicle credentials, managing visitor and delivery logs, and directing traffic flow as needed.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services when required.Maintain required armed post readiness by following firearms handling requirements, maintaining chain of custody for issued equipment, and completing detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Possess an armed guard card and/or license.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
