Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership, local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in, issuing temporary badges per site policy and directing guests to approved locations.Monitor alarms, cameras and access control systems, investigate activations and document findings per post orders.Carry and maintain assigned duty gear in accordance with licensing requirements, Allied Universal standards and site policies, including conducting required equipment checks at the start of shift.Write clear, timely reports of daily activities, incidents, patrol observations and policy violations, and escalate concerns through the chain of command.Support protection of sensitive information and high-value equipment by enforcing restricted-area rules, escort requirements and after-hours access procedures.Perform vehicle and/or delivery checks as directed by site policy, including screening for prohibited items and confirming delivery authorization.Assist with crowd and traffic management during shift changes, special events and/or high-visibility visits while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence.Minimum Requirements:
An Armed Guard Card/License is required.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.Customer Service Experience is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
