As a Security Officer - Armed Inmate Transport in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to incidents while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will support security-related operations with professionalism and sound judgment. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.Control access points by verifying identification and/or authorization for entry, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to site procedures.Monitor surveillance cameras, intrusion and fire panels, and other site systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions per post orders.Document incidents, observations, patrol activity, and interactions in written reports and/or electronic logs, and submit required documentation to Allied Universal supervision.Perform routine inspections for unsecured doors, damaged property, suspicious items, and other irregularities, and notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal management per protocol.Maintain readiness of assigned post equipment and required issued gear, and follow all site rules regarding storage, handling, and reporting of equipment status.Assist with crowd management and order maintenance during public-facing activities and/or meetings as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal supervision.Coordinate with site personnel and local law enforcement as needed, providing clear information and preserving incident details for follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.An Armed Guard Card and/or License is preferred.A Guard Card and/or License is preferred.Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
