As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate contacts as needed.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor entry, and following site rules for deliveries and shipments.Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal requirements, post orders, and applicable laws, including completing required reports and inspections.

Minimum Requirements:

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.Be at least 21 years of age.Access control and badge experience is preferred.An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
