As a Security Officer - Armed Capitol Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and security-related policies.Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes at random and scheduled intervals to help to deter unauthorized activity.Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and emergency services as directed.Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, screening authorized access, monitoring surveillance and/or intrusion systems, and directing visitors to appropriate areas.Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in written reports and logs, maintaining chain-of-custody for evidence and following Allied Universal and site weapons handling and storage requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
