As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. Armed Guard Card or License required.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, applicable laws, and site directives, using sound judgment and clear communication.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and requests for assistance.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or criminal activity.Control access at designated points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors to appropriate areas.Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other security-related systems, and report irregular conditions or hazards to appropriate personnel.Write detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, documenting observations, actions taken, and follow-up notifications.Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or on-site leadership when escalation is needed, maintaining scene awareness until relieved.Perform vehicle patrols and/or foot patrols as required, adapting to changing operational needs, weather, and traffic conditions.Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, shelter-in-place directives, and medical response calls, following site-specific instructions and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
