You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. This role requires an armed guard card or license and offers the chance to serve the public while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time, with the ability to pick up shifts.

Armed guard card holders are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transportation facilities and/or transit locations.Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, alarms, medical situations, and/or suspicious activity.Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification, controlling entry and exit, and directing visitors and vendors per site procedures.Observe and report conditions that may present a risk to people, property, and/or operations, and promptly notify the appropriate parties per escalation procedures.Complete routine documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs with accurate details and timely submission.Assist with traffic control and pedestrian flow during peak periods, special events, and/or service disruptions as directed by site policies.Interact professionally with the public, including providing directions, information, and assistance while maintaining a customer-focused presence.Support law enforcement and/or emergency responders by providing scene information, maintaining post assignments, and preserving incident details for reporting.Operate communications equipment such as radios and phones to maintain contact with dispatch and site leadership, and coordinate responses as directed.Perform perimeter checks, unlock and lock designated doors and/or gates as assigned, and report maintenance issues or hazards through established channels.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.Have an armed guard card and/or license.Customer service experience is preferred.Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
