As a Security Officer - Armed Courthouse Driver in Kissimmee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government corrections location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors through strong communication and customer service. This is an armed, driving post, so you will be expected to carry your issued equipment, respond to routine and urgent situations, and complete detailed reports with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, housing areas as assigned, and the perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.Support controlled access operations by verifying identification, processing visitors and vendors, and following entry and exit procedures.Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and/or other surveillance systems, and communicate observed issues to site leadership and/or appropriate authorities.Assist with controlled movement of inmates and/or detainees as directed by site procedures, including escorts within designated areas.Observe for policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or prohibited items, and help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and reporting.Complete reports and documentation related to incidents, patrol activity, access logs, and/or other required records in accordance with site procedures.Coordinate with facility staff and local responders during incidents, including relaying information, securing areas, and supporting scene control as directed.Maintain post orders, equipment accountability, and readiness of assigned gear, and report maintenance and/or operational concerns through the proper channels.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.An armed guard card/license is required.A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required, or a college degree is required.Be at least 21 years of age.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
