As a Security Officer - Armed County Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Provide customer service to government facility staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry and prohibited items.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordinating with site management, and contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.Complete timely incident reports, activity logs, and shift handoffs, and communicate hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns through the established chain of command.Minimum Requirements:
Have 1+ years of armed security-related and/or law enforcement and/or military experience.Have an armed guard card and/or license.Have a college degree.Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.Be 21+ years of age.Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge OR an associates degree with 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
