Security Officer - Act 235 Unarmed Driver

As a Security Officer - Act 235 Unarmed Driver in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and unusual activity with calm professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will carry out armed duties in alignment with site requirements while delivering clear communication and customer service grounded in integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and public emergency responders as needed.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, lobbies, parking areas and perimeter checkpoints; working environments and conditions may vary by location.Monitor access control and observe for unusual activity, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations; report concerns through established communication channels.Complete security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and participate in required briefings and/or training related to armed post duties.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.Be at least 21 years of age.A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
