Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and site-specific procedures.Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential issues.Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment within the chemical and petrochemical location.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of experience as a security supervisor or manager or 3 or more years of security-related experience.Access control or badge experience is preferred.Applicants should be able to lift up to 20 pounds; this is preferred.At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
