Security Officer - Access Control Desk

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Asbury Park, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help manage entry points at a residential location, greet residents and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will complete routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering attentive customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Control access to the location by verifying identification, managing visitor sign-in, issuing credentials, and directing guests and deliveries according to site procedures.Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, intercoms, and/or alarms, and report irregular activity or maintenance concerns through established channels.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public responders as needed.Complete detailed reports and logs including visitor activity, incidents, and shift turnovers to support accurate communication and continuity between shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer Service Experience is preferred.Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
