As a Security Officer - Access Control in Flat Rock, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. You will complete routine patrols across assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related issues, and assist with access control and visitor flow as needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move, communicating clearly, and delivering a welcoming customer service experience while working with a team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures as required.Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns per site protocol.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, loading and service areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related hazards.Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor directions, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.Complete required reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.Customer service experience is preferred.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
