As a Security Officer - Access Control in Jackson, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a food and beverage location, you will manage access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and tracking entries and deliveries. You will monitor assigned areas and cameras, conduct routine patrols, and write clear reports to help reduce security-related incidents. Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing authorized visitors to the appropriate check-in process.Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and receiving areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.Maintain accurate logs and reports, including visitor sign-in, vehicle and trailer information, delivery appointments, and unusual activity documentation.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision per post orders.Screen packages, bags, and/or deliveries as required by site procedures and document exceptions for follow-up.Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to manage contractor, vendor, and carrier access, including directing trucks to designated docks and staging areas.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, dock areas, and restricted production or storage zones as directed by post orders.Observe for and report conditions that could impact operations, such as propped doors, damaged fencing, broken locks, and/or unauthorized persons in controlled areas.Use site systems as assigned, such as access control panels, CCTV, intercoms, radios, and/or visitor management tools, and report equipment issues promptly.Assist with site-specific emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather actions, and/or medical calls by following established response steps and communicating updates.Support compliance with location rules for controlled areas, including directing personnel and visitors to follow posted requirements and reporting repeated non-compliance per policy.Communicate clearly and professionally with site leadership, employees, and Allied Universal supervision, providing timely updates during routine operations and incident response.Minimum Requirements:
