Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, fire alarms, and disorderly conduct, and escalate to campus authorities as required.Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.Monitor and control access at designated points, checking identification and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures.Observe for policy violations, suspicious activity, and hazards that could impact operations, and help to deter unwanted behavior through high-visibility presence and customer service.Provide assistance with directions, building access questions, and general campus inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation using required systems and formats, including accurate times, locations, and actions taken.Communicate promptly with supervisors and dispatch using radios and/or phones, providing clear updates and requesting support when needed.Respond to alarms, door alerts, and other security-related notifications, investigate the cause, and document findings per post orders.Support campus events by monitoring assigned areas, assisting with crowd management, and coordinating with event staff and campus authorities as needed.Perform welfare checks and locate individuals when requested by authorized personnel, following site procedures and documentation requirements.Assist with lost and found processes and property recovery by documenting items and coordinating handoff per site policy.Minimum Requirements:
