A Day in the Life:

The Sr. Security Guard is the trusted point of contact who ensures the safety and security of the Hertz building and grounds. This role will support the Corporate Headquarters by conducting routine assessments throughout their shifts for fire and safety hazards, and monitoring and investigating any unusual activity. 

 

What You’ll Do:

Debrief with colleagues about previous shift activities and security concerns. Serve as first point of contact for visitors. Assign badge access to visitors, employees, and new hires. Conduct fire and life safety patrol for each shift worked. Investigate and accurately document incidents such as crimes, accidents involving employees and equipment in an Activity Log. Patrol office areas as instructed and document unusual findings. Determine the initial course of action, including preserving evidence, until the arrival of local law enforcement officials. Maintain a daily log for review by the Security Manager. Monitor security footage and investigate and report any unusual activity. Act as a liaison between Law Enforcement, Fire Department, and Emergency First Responders until the arrival or notification of a Hertz Manager or Director. Other duties as assigned by management.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain and convey a positive company image. Ability to work all shifts, including weekdays, weekends and holidays as necessary. Valid driver’s license with good driving record. Must be able to work various shifts on short notice. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. Must be able to work and solve problems with minimal supervision. Must be detail oriented and possess good decision-making skills. Must have computer skills with the ability to learn new applications quickly.
