As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a high-traffic government healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver professional customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. You will bring our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first approach to every shift through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including corridors, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas and the perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit for staff, patients, visitors, vendors and/or contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures.Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, suspicious persons and/or potential policy violations, and communicate concerns to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.Assist with de-escalation by using a professional presence, verbal communication and calm direction when addressing disruptive behavior, following site-specific procedures.Support emergency response activities by initiating notifications, guiding people away from restricted areas and assisting with incident scene control when directed.Complete daily activity reports, incident reports and shift logs with accurate, timely documentation.Use security-related systems and tools as assigned, such as radios, phones, electronic tour systems, access control and/or CCTV where available.Provide direction and information to visitors and patients, help maintain orderly lobby and waiting areas during high-traffic periods and support clinic and/or hospital operations as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.Guard Card/License is preferred.Customer Service Experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
