What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to onsite associates, drivers, visitors and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls and/or weather events.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse, dock areas, parking lots and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.Control access at designated entrances, verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials and directing traffic flow in accordance with site procedures.Monitor CCTV, alarms and access control systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions for appropriate follow-up.Perform routine rounds of doors, gates, trailer yards and high-value areas, reporting unsecured openings, damaged fencing, lighting outages and/or other concerns.Support shipping and receiving operations by observing inbound and outbound activity, checking seals when assigned and reporting suspicious behavior to site leadership.Complete detailed daily activity logs, incident reports and shift handoff notes in a timely manner using approved reporting systems.Assist with de-escalation and customer service-based conflict resolution, requesting additional support from supervisors and/or local responders as needed.Participate in required trainings, drills and briefings, and follow post orders, communication protocols and uniform standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.Be at least 21+ years of age.Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Alarm panel experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
