Provide customer service to clients at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, alarms, and suspicious activity.Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.Maintain a visible armed presence to help to deter theft, disturbances, and other security-related concerns while supporting a positive customer experience.Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; observe customer and employee activity and report unusual behavior according to post orders.Control access to restricted areas such as cash handling rooms, receiving, and manager offices as directed by site procedures.Coordinate with store management and local law enforcement as needed for security-related incidents, including providing clear information and preserving the scene when required.Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation with accurate details and timely escalation through the chain of command.Operate radios, phones, and other assigned equipment to communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.Support opening and closing routines, including perimeter checks and escorts for associates or vendors when requested and permitted by policy.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.An Armed Guard Card/License is required.Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas only.A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
