What this role is all about
As a Security Governance Specialist, you will be part of our Security Governance and Resilience (SGR) team, helping to define and evolve Infobip’s security governance across a large-scale, multi-datacenter environment. Your core focus will be on compliance, risk management, and the creation of robust security policies and procedures that strengthen organizational resilience.
This role suits someone who enjoys a broad governance scope, working across security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and audits, while partnering closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Through your work, you will support Infobip in maintaining trust and security for billions of global interactions.


What you’ll do

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve security governance policies, standards, and procedures.

Propose, implement, and maintain Information Security Management System (ISMS) processes and practices.

Perform risk assessments and contribute to security strategy and planning activities.

Coordinate and participate in external audits related to security certifications.

Support internal and external compliance audits and regulatory obligations.

Collaborate with development and engineering teams to integrate security into products and processes.

Conduct vendor security assessments and manage third-party risk evaluations.

Contribute to governance initiatives connected to business continuity and disaster recovery.

Research and apply best practices related to security frameworks and compliance requirements.

Facilitate security-related workshops and awareness sessions for stakeholders.

Take part in continuous improvement initiatives within the SGR team.

Engage with clients when needed to explain and clarify Infobip’s security posture.

What makes you a strong fit

3–4+ years of experience in security governance, risk management, or compliance roles.

Strong understanding of security regulations, governance concepts, and industry frameworks.

Knowledge of common information security certification schemes, such as ISO and SOC 2.

Experience with risk assessment methodologies and compliance or certification audits.

Ability to write, maintain, and review high-level security policies and procedures.

Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice-to-have qualifications

Understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery practices.

Experience working in highly regulated industries, such as banking or payment processing.

Exposure to GRC tools and security standards, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

Background in multinational or shared services environments.
