Security Armorer

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Armorer. The Security Armorer is responsible for repairs, preventive maintenance, and testing of firearms on site including duty weapons and drill/exercise weapons (MILES, Saab, etc.). This position provides recommendations on new and existing firearms upgrades and ballistics. The Security Armorer operates weapons repair equipment including milling machine, grinder, polisher sander, turning lathe, etc. The Armorer develops and maintains documentation and reports on weapons inventory. This position may be required to perform tasks that include firing range instruction, maintenance, or safety supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs on site duty weapons and simulations weapons (MILES, Saab, etc.)Operate weapons repair equipment such as milling machine, grinder, polisher sander, turning lathe, etc. Make recommendations on new and existing firearms upgrades and ballisticsDevelops and maintains documentation and reports on weapons inventory, weapons cleaning, and other required weapons maintenance activities Provides instruction on weapons and firearms/range safety, as needed Report any safety related concerns with recommended corrective actions where possibleOther duties as assigned by the site Project Manager or designee in support of security operations and trainingProvide support to Security Training during quarterly training sessions, New Hire classes, CAP-related assignments, and Force‑on‑Force (FOF) preparation activities, in alignment with leadership direction and departmental needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalentPossess, or be able to obtain, certifications necessary to perform maintenance and repair on site firearms or the ability to obtain weapon manufacturer certificationsState licensing or certification, as required, or the ability to obtain such licensing or certificationMinimum one 18 months of experience in firearms instruction, firearms repair, and/or firing range operations

Starting Wages-$36.93/hour
