About the Security Administrator Role
In an era where data is the most valuable currency, you are the vault keeper. As our Security Administrator, you provide the primary oversight for Trustco Bank’s digital backbone. You aren’t just managing servers; you are engineering a fortress. From Windows and Linux environments to complex SQL databases, you ensure our production systems are resilient, optimized, and impenetrable.
Key Responsibilities
The Architect of Access: Manage and maintain the Bank’s Active Directory and Group Policy configurations with surgical precision.Database & Server Command: Act as the primary steward for our SQL databases, application servers, and file systems, ensuring peak performance.Strategic Consultant: Partner with departmental leadership to develop long-term system standards and strategic roadmaps.The Tech Scout: Analyze, evaluate, and recommend cutting-edge hardware and software to keep our network ahead of the curve.Collaborative Force: Work alongside the IT Administration Team to solve high-level puzzles and implement mission-critical projects.This job description is not exhaustive; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.
Qualifications
Required
A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent level of education and experience. Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.At least five years of work experience in all phases of computer operations. Effective verbal and written communication skills.Well- organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to time sensitive deadlines.Ability to work well independently and in groups.Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Programs; Excel and Word.Preferred
Master’s degree in computer engineering related field.Schedule
Full-time position; Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Valid driver’s license required for local travel using personal vehicle
Physical Demands:
Primarily sedentary; includes use of standard office equipment.
