Securities Strategies Associate

Markets provides solutions to clients with the means to manage their exposure through various derivatives, lending and cash products across Structured Products Group, Macro, Equities, Municipal Products Group, Credit Sales & Trading.

About this role:

Wells Fargo’s Global Secured Trading (GST) provides client financing solutions, secured funding and collateral optimization to clients of the Markets Division and across Corporate and Investment Banking.  Products include repo, reverse repo, and total return swaps.  GST has offices in Charlotte, New York, Hong Kong, Dublin and London.  

In this role, you will:

Demonstrate a deep understanding of credit analysis across all leveraged credit products and credit markets

Have a proven history of creating top-tier credit work product

Possess dynamic leadership skills

Maintain an active dialogue/relationship with the market’s credit investor base

Be able to collaborate with business partners across groups

Work with the Credit Sales and Trading businesses to align Credit Sector Strategy with Wells Fargo’s strategic priorities

Prioritize clients across different market segments and balance sheet risk

Determine the scope of market coverage and facilitating communication with business partners in sales, trading and syndicate

Possess a thorough understanding of Sales & Trading compliance policies and the regulations that govern sector strategist conduct

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Securities Strategies experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

2+ years of a broad market-segment / industry range of analyst experience

Strong experience in analyzing complex capital structures, particularly within stressed / distressed companies

Energetic, detail-oriented self-starter with excellent communication and management skills

A team-oriented mindset that will work in close partnership with the various business teams and relevant support partners

Prior desk-analyst experience

Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel proficiency

Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or related field

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 15% or as needed

Registration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
