Job Description
Join our Securities Administration Services group as a Securities Analyst II, where you will be responsible for managing complex transactions and reconciliations related to loan or security payments. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset to ensure compliance and accuracy across various financial operations.
ResponsibilitiesProcess complex transactions and reconcilements relating to loan or security payments.Provide remittance and correction information to servicers.Monitor and analyze pooled loans to identify non-compliance and communicate relevant information to investors.Evaluate servicer performance to ensure compliance with stated agreements.Participate in system enhancements by attending user group meetings and conducting tests.Identify and communicate processing exceptions relevant to similar series across individual portfolios.Maintain expertise in areas such as Collateral, Securities, Default, or Trust Administration.Train junior staff and review their processing and reconciliations.Propose recommendations and implement automated solutions on an ongoing basis.Engage in data entry, accounting, and analysis of pooled loan data from various mortgage servicers.Use multiple database systems, including Microsoft Excel, to identify and account for data variances.Research and interpret controlling legal documents when issues arise with collateral or bond payments.Essential SkillsProficiency in business analysis, finance, and data analysis.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and V Look Up.Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferably 1+ years of experience in Financial Services, including internships.Work Environment
Our work environment is team-oriented and task-based, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines. We offer a hybrid flexible schedule, which includes some on-site training and large team meetings monthly in Columbia, MD. The role may require overtime to complete analyses at certain points during the month. We provide remote flexibility unless a large conference or team meeting is scheduled.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, Maryland.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
