About the Sector:

The Process Food Sector Specialist will be primarily focused on providing technical services to Process Food customers across the APAC region. S/he will be required to identify the key gaps and improvement opportunities with the current cleaning & hygiene programs and develop Diversey cleaning & hygiene programs with a systematic approach that will include appropriate product selections, cost-in-use calculations, and benefits delivered to the customer. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for defining standards/protocols for trials, customer audits for relevant applications, leading key trials, and gaining approvals.

As the technical expert for the processed food sector in APAC, S/he is also expected to double work with the sales team on cleaning & hygiene programs, including application expertise and platform knowledge. S/he will be expected to spend. around 50% time in customer sites across the geography

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (Sector Specialist):

Develop a clear understanding of sector processes, sector microbiology and sector cleaning by focusing on the process food sector:Identify the key gaps and improvement opportunities with the current cleaning & hygiene programs.Develop Diversey cleaning & hygiene programs with a systematic approach that will include appropriate product selections, cost-in-use calculations, investment needs, and benefits delivered to the customer.Lead in the execution of key value propositions, offerings, and innovations.Define standards/protocols for trials, and customer audits for relevant applications.Propose improvements.Lead key trials and deliver proposed improvements. Gain approvals.Help in conducting periodic audits and recommend corrective actions in case of any deviations.Provide technical expertise on demand for sector and sales team.Provide inputs and customer feedback to the sales team.Train / double work with selected people regarding application expertise/platform knowledge.Support sales teams for serious application problems on customer sitesProvide inputs to Marketing / R&D teams with developing customer needs and trends.Support Marketing & RD&E to develop new solutions for relevant customer needs in area of expertise.

KEY INTERACTIONS 

Internal: Sales & Sector teams, Regional F&B Sector teams External: Numerous customers across the Process Food segment of the respective business line

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

Food / Dairy technology/ Chemical engineering degree with 3-5 years’ experience in the F& B industry in technical roles. Leading-edge application(s) knowledge (CIP, Open Plant Cleaning, Membrane cleaning & Lubrication) Leading-edge knowledge on a certain platform (i.e., Water management, Food Safety, etc) Training capability

Capabilities and Strengths:

Functional/technical skills Strong communication skills Enjoys problem-solving. Enjoys travelling. Enjoys being in a customer-facing role. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the sales team. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.

Travel: The role involves extensive travel: on average, 2-3 weeks a month
