You will lead the production operations in the Plant and delivering key performance targets (SQCDSM) in safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability, organizational morale. You will ensure our manufacturing strategy is implemented and is fully effective and you will strive to build a high performing organization.
How you will contribute
You will:
Manage change/ transformation amongst the Manufacturing team in the implementation of IL6S (Integrated Lean 6 Sigma), FoF (Factory of the Future), line-centric organization, TPM pillars (AM-Autonomous Maintenance, PM-Progressive Maintenance, integrated 6-star model) to progress into self-sufficient teams. Role model values and principles through effective coaching, mentoring and development of the team.Support the Manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Engagement goals in line with the site Compelling Business Need. Coach Line Leaders, cascade & communicate the plans and targets to employees to ensure alignment and understanding around priorities, focus and KPIs.Lead and be accountable to establish a strong governance to review and control operational performance and continuous improvement plans, embedding a zero-loss mindset to constantly improve and deliver against best in class both internally and externally. Drive the Manufacturing team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture, capability and operating systems to deliver a best-in-class, reliable operation.Guarantee that Manufacturing standards, governance, compliance requirements (corporate Quality, food safety & GMP, health, safety, security, environment, sustainability, code of conduct, policies & principles, operational standards, local legal requirements, internal audit norms, etc) are in place, understood by all, and are regularly reviewed and monitored for effective implementation.Lead and be accountable for talent, capabilities & engagement for the Manufacturing team. Identify and implement levers to attract, retain & develop critical talent. Build capability at all levels, technical and behavioral, to create a sustainable workforce profile for the future. Partner effectively with all multi-functional peers internally and externally to achieve objectives, goals and KPIs.

Own and lead the Manufacturing team of a section of the plant (multiple production lines) across all shifts, in a way that supports the objectives of the facility and business unit.Coordinate the operating budget process for variable labor, establish KPI targets, and direct capital investment planning for the business unit.Establish and promote a total quality system that effectively produces quality products in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.Position the assigned business unit to meet facility goals and growth.Ensure that department employees follow all local, state, and federal health and safety rules and regulations including EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration).Be responsible for the health and safety of all employees. Lead the AM (Autonomous Maintenance) pillar (TPM program), including training and capability building across the site.
Key responsibilities
Manage the efforts of operating teams of multiple lines or technologies across multiple shifts in the efficient conversion of materials into quality products in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner within the product design specifications and budgets. Directly and indirectly manage a cross-functional team in the overall operation, including Activity Management, Capacity Planning, Machine Standards, Maintenance & Engineering projects, Research and Development improvements, and Scheduling.Advocate and actively support the site’s TPM initiatives. Participate in information flow and escalation processes as required. Proactively participate, drive, and promote, as well as coach direct reports and others in TPM and a continuous improvement mindset.Proactively manage Associate relations issues. Guide and direct the hiring, training, retraining, development and motivation of Manufacturing associates, following teamwork principles with a minimum degree of guidance from their manager. Drive Associate engagement through a foundation of teamwork and individual accountability.Assure the ongoing production of safe and defect-free products consistent with the principles of Mondelez International. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) proficiency is required; this manager owns ongoing training and championing of quality goals and improvements at the area level.Goal setting and measurement. Establish area performance standards and goals based on site goals and strategies. Measure, control, take corrective action and report results as appropriate in all areas of responsibility. Annually assist in development of area budgets and KPI targets.End-to-end leadership. Participate with other managers in planning, sourcing, delivery, engineering, and strategic business roles, developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies to drive overall supply pipeline.Employee development. With the support and participation of the site leadership team, evaluate employee development and performance. In conjunction with Associates’ career goals, create development plans to challenge their potential.Personal development. Keep abreast of managerial and technical competencies both within and outside of Mondelēz International.The incumbent of this position must be prepared to act on behalf of their manager in his/her absence (protection of human and physical assets, crisis management, conducting staff meetings, address public relations issues, etc).More about this role
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Food Science or related.At least 10 years of fundamental knowledge and experience within a supply chain environment; 2+ years of TPM, Lean, Operational Excellence, or 6-sigma preferred.GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) proficiency is required.Ability to blend people into teams; creates strong morale and spirit in his/her work; defines success in terms of the whole team.Proven experience in transforming manufacturing/production teams into high-performing, efficient teams.Inspirational leadership skills, with ability to motivate and lead change.Passion for developing and coaching talent.Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.Technical and problem-solving skills.Desire to oversee a 24/7 organization.Experience in multinational CPG industry preferred.Union experience highly preferred.Salary and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $122,000 to $167,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time.
