Reporting to the Manager, Volunteer Engagement the Consultant is responsible for the maintenance and administration of volunteer service programs including recruitment, screening, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of volunteers. The Consultant supports the daily operations for patient/resident and client support and/or service programs. The Consultant assists the Manager, Volunteer Resources in the promotion and development of volunteer services internally and in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And Experience

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Administration, Social Sciences, Education, Health Sciences or a related field and three years of recent related experience.

Skills And Abilities Demonstrated administration and supervisory skills Demonstrated Human Resource Coordination skills. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, plan, and organize. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing including the ability to respond diplomatically to both internal and external inquiries. Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction to others. Ability to work as a team member in a cooperative and supportive manner. Ability to interact with a variety of people and personalities and to provide motivation and encouragement to volunteers. Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to productively use a computer and technology.Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
