Job Title: Mechanical Technician - Chlorinator Project

Job Description

Provide mechanical technician support for the removal of AC Chlorinator assemblies on the DDG 100 USS Kidd. This role is ideal for individuals with experience as Machinist Mates or other mechanical trades in the Navy, focusing on maintenance and repair of shipboard mechanical systems, including hydraulic systems, valves, and pumps.

ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and repair on shipboard mechanical systems.Work on hydraulic systems, valves, and pumps.Support the removal of AC Chlorinator assemblies on Navy vessels.Essential SkillsMinimum two years of professional experience in Naval mechanical systems.Experience as a Marine Mechanic or Machinist Mate.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair on large vessels such as US Navy ships, Coastguard ships, and commercial ships.DBIDS eligibility is required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The position is located at Vigor Shipyard, involving work outdoors, in the shop, and on ships. Safety is a priority; necessary PPE is provided, including hard hats and safety glasses. Steel-toed boots are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
