Job Description

We are seeking dedicated shop helpers to assist with the cutting and measuring of fabrics for awnings. This role involves learning to read blueprints and sewing pre-cut material. Familiarity with blueprints and proficiency in using a tape measure is advantageous. This position is production-based, requiring efficient fabric cutting according to job specifications. Comprehensive training will be provided by the shop supervisor.

ResponsibilitiesCut and measure fabrics for awnings according to specifications.Learn and interpret blueprints for accurate fabric cutting.Operate sewing machines to sew pre-cut materials.Utilize hand tools, drills, and power tools for assembly and installation.Ensure production goals are met efficiently and accurately.Essential SkillsExperience with production and general labor tasks.Ability to use hand tools and drills.Proficiency in operating sewing machines.Competency in reading tape measures and schematics.Understanding of blueprints and power tools usage.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ladder usage and material loading.Knowledge of measuring materials accurately.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
