Job Description
The Molecular Biologist will play a crucial role in the execution of verification and validation (V&V) and research and development (R&D) strategies designed by senior team members. The position is primarily laboratory-based, and candidates should have a strong background in molecular biological techniques, especially real-time PCR and NGS. A deep knowledge of the field and experience with quantitative PCR, digital drop PCR, or equivalent is essential. The role requires effective collaboration within a dynamic team, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities
Participate in training on new assays.Conduct experiments related to clinical trials.Share results and collaborate with other team members.Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of direct laboratory testing experience in relevant specialties.Strong experience in molecular biology techniques.Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS), preferably with Ion Torrent technology.Proficiency in data analysis and the use of computer systems for data entry, retrieval, and analyses.Additional Skills & Qualifications
A BS degree in Biological Sciences is required; an MS degree in a molecular field is preferred.Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analyses.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong understanding of good laboratory practices and regulatory compliance.Work Environment
This is an on-site position located in West Sacramento, California. The work is primarily laboratory-based, involving the handling of highly infectious agents and hazardous chemicals. The role requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods, handle equipment and specimens, and perform tasks that involve bending, stretching, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Visual acuity to distinguish colors and auditory ability to hear equipment timers are necessary. The position involves some office work, including writing experiments, validation documents, and standard operating procedures.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
