One of Insight Global's Pharmaceutical clients is looking for an IT business partner team to support the Research business unit is seeking an experienced Applications & Workflow Specialist.
This role bridges the gap between science and technology, with a strong focus on ensuring laboratory and office application environments are functional, well-supported, and continuously improved. The role partners closely with scientists to enable research through reliable technology and effective workflow support.
The ideal candidate takes ownership of assigned applications and workflows, driving work forward independently and coordinating with others as needed to deliver reliable results.

Skills and Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
· Experience working in a preclinical laboratory environment (No CROs).
· Minimum 5 years of experience supporting IT systems within pharmaceutical or biotechnology research environments, including laboratory and office applications.
· Proven experience supporting scientific applications and research workflows in discovery, research, or preclinical settings.
· Working knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux environments, as well as AWS Cloud services (e.g., S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda).
· Experience with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred).
· Familiarity with cybersecurity, intellectual property protection, compliance standards, and lab network segmentation in research environments.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to document clearly and follow issues through to resolution.
· Experience coordinating with vendors and contributing to enhancement planning and prioritization. - Working familiarity with FAIR data principles and laboratory workflows preferred, with the ability to support systems operating within broader data pipelines.
