Comments and Other Information OPPORTUNITY Green Dot will hire up to five full-time interns. Interns will be assigned to carefully selected high schools and middle schools. This full-time assignment is four days per week. Interns will be assigned to one school site alongside their supervisor. We aim to hire for these positions by March 31, 2026, with a start date of August 3, 2026, and an end date of June 11, 2027. The application process will close on February 17, 2026. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES > Complete psycho-educational assessments including but not limited to: initial evaluations, triennial evaluations, manifestation determinations, functional behavioral assessments and social emotional evaluations > Present assessment results at IEP meetings > Provide support and consultation to teachers, staff, and administrators > Provide short-term, solution-focused counseling services to students individually and/or in groups > Engage in crisis intervention including suicide and threat assessments > Support staff in the MTSS and SSPT process, developing and implementing academic and behavioral interventions > Participate in monthly intern meetings and psychologist professional development Write behavior intervention plans and support teachers with implementation > Consult and collaborate with students, parents, staff, administrators and community agencies > Communicate program requirements and professional interests to be fulfilled during internship > Show independence and initiative in work ethic > Keep supervisors informed of projects for university coursework and any unusual circumstances or special needs > Be organized, anticipate changes, and plan to manage time efficiently > Sign and adhere to district Code of Ethics and Sexual Harassment policies Professional Development for Interns Specific training for interns will be provided in the following: > Development of skills within the 10 NASP Domains > Training teachers and staff on implementation of various academic and behavioral interventions > Training teachers and staff to collect data, progress monitor, and make data-based decisions > Implementing universal and targeted interventions as pilots for schools to replicate in classrooms > Using alternative and Curriculum Based Assessments in psycho-educational evaluations for special education > Assist administrators in implementing SSPT process on campus. Work to facilitate fidelity to SSPT process > Crisis Intervention training and certification through the PREPARE Curriculum Supervision will be provided through: > Regular individual supervision meetings with site supervisor > Monthly group supervision meetings with training on various topics including (not an exhaustive list): *Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) *Developing Behavior Intervention Plans *Assessing dual language learners *Using alternative measures such as curriculum-based assessment *Reviewing best practices in writing legally defensible reports *Resume writing and interviewing techniques QUALIFICATIONS > Enrolled in a NASP-accredited graduate school program for School Psychology > Available to complete 4 days/week for at least a total of 28 hours > Eligible for the PPS Internship Credential > Have written a complete psycho-educational report > Able to work independently at a high level of professionalism > Will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer The information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to perform the job.
