Job Title: Construction Project ManagerJob Description
The primary role of a Construction Project Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in various non-IT fields, including engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-out. This role specifically focuses on managing large-scale datacenter construction projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and oversee the implementation of detailed project plans, including timelines and resource requirements for large-scale datacenter construction projects.
+ Manage cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement, and construction, to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time.
+ Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
+ Work with clients to understand their needs and ensure project outcomes meet their expectations.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
+ Continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each project meets its objectives and is delivered on time.
+ Provide regular project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
+ Facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions for the project with discipline leads, vendors, and clients to identify the project critical path and continuously analyze and report throughout the project.
+ Comply with relevant policies and procedures and work within legal and regulatory frameworks.
+ Perform site walks to determine current progress and create project forecasts using Primavera based on these site walks.
+ Communicate progress and forecasts to the site team, providing key insights through a data-driven approach.
Essential Skills
+ 8-10 years of experience in project management, construction management, or construction project management.
+ Proficient in Primavera P6 and Excel.
+ Experience in data center construction projects.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a relevant engineering field is preferred.
+ Strong understanding of P6 and ability to review look-ahead schedules and develop forecasts based on site progress.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
+ Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
+ Familiarity with computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.
+ Experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis.
+ Proven track record of delivering large-scale datacenter construction projects on time and to client satisfaction.
+ Excellent understanding of Project Planning, Earned Value Management, and Key Commodity Tracking.
+ Ability to analyze EPC plans/schedule and provide deep insights into trends, issues, and mitigations.
+ Experience in managing teams and working collaboratively with cross-functional groups.
+ Familiarity with Critical Path Methodology (CPM) scheduling methodology.
+ Ability to present data from detailed to high-level depending on the audience.
Work Environment
The position is based in Des Moines (DSM17). The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour work week. The role involves site visits and requires effective communication with the site team to ensure project progress and forecasting are accurately reported.

This is a Contract position based out of WDM, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64.00 - $74.00/hr.
