Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our team in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to operate various machinery including band saws and forklifts.

ResponsibilitiesOperate band saws to cut steel and other materials according to work order specifications.Operate sit-down forklifts to transport materials within the facility.Read and interpret tape measures accurately for precise cuts.Perform visual quality control checks to ensure product standards are met.Apply metal to customer orders and process material accurately.Maintain processing equipment in a clean and safe condition.Ensure the processing area is clean, safe, and orderly.Accurately complete all required information entry.Participate in classroom training during the first week and work with an experienced trainer until proficient.Essential SkillsPrevious experience using a band saw for cutting steel.Ability to operate a sit-down forklift efficiently.Proficiency in reading a tape measure.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in metal fabrication and aerospace industry is a plus.Strong attendance and work history with a focus on tenure.Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and operating machinery.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. It is a fast-paced setting with over 60 employees on the floor. The facility is located in Auburn, WA, and offers shifts including a 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 1 am, Monday through Thursday, and a 3rd shift from 4 am to 4:30 pm, Friday through Sunday. Shift differentials are available for full-time employees, with 2nd shift receiving an additional $1 per hour and 3rd shift paid as 36 hours equal to 40 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
