SAP S/4HANA Transformation – Production Planning / Quality Management Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PP / QM Consultant to support end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation and implementation projects. The consultant will work under the guidance of a Module Lead or Solution Architect and contribute to configuration, testing, data migration support, and post–go-live stabilization of Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) processes.

This role focuses on hands-on functional delivery across manufacturing and quality processes, aligned with SAP S/4HANA best practices and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

SAP PP & QM Configuration

Configure and support SAP S/4HANA PP processes including:Master Data (Material Master, BOM, Work Centers, Routings)Demand Management and MRPProduction Orders and Process OrdersCapacity Planning and Production ExecutionConfigure and support SAP S/4HANA QM processes including:Inspection Planning and Inspection TypesQuality Notifications and Defect ManagementUsage Decisions and Results RecordingQuality Certificates and Batch Management (where applicable)

S/4HANA Transformation Support

Support ECC to S/4HANA conversions or greenfield implementations.Apply S/4HANA manufacturing and quality simplifications and innovations.Assist in Fit-to-Standard (F2S) workshops and requirement clarification.

Integration & Cross-Module Collaboration

Work closely with MM, WM/EWM, SD, PM, and FI/CO teams to ensure seamless integration.Support integration across Procure-to-Produce and Plan-to-Produce processes.Coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, interfaces) for RICEFW objects impacting PP/QM.

Testing & Data Migration

Prepare and execute unit testing and SIT test cases for PP and QM scenarios.Support UAT, defect resolution, and business user clarification.Assist with data migration validation for manufacturing and quality master data and open transactions.

Go-Live & Hypercare

Support cutover activities, including production and quality data readiness.Provide hypercare support, troubleshooting PP/QM issues post go-live.Document issues, resolutions, and process changes.

Documentation & Methodology

Prepare and maintain:Functional specificationsConfiguration documentsTest scripts and user guidesFollow SAP Activate methodology and project standards.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP PP & QM Expertise

5–8 years of SAP functional experience in:SAP PP (Discrete or Process Manufacturing)SAP QMAt least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or conversion projectStrong understanding of manufacturing and quality management processes

S/4HANA & Manufacturing Knowledge

Hands-on experience with:S/4HANA PP configurationMRP simplifications and real-time processingQM integration with MM and PPExposure to Batch Management, Serial Numbers, and Variant Configuration is a plusKnowledge on LeanIX, Signavio for process flow preparation and discussion with business team, is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP S/4HANA or SAP PP / QM certificationExperience with SAP Activate methodologyIndustry experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Goods, or ChemicalsExposure to EWM, PM, or Advanced Planning tools (PP/DS, IBP) is an advantage

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsGood communication and documentation abilitiesAbility to work effectively in onshore–offshore delivery modelsWillingness to learn and adopt S/4HANA innovations
