SAP S/4HANA Invoice Automation Architect (OpenText VIM & OCR)

**CTG is seeking to fill an SAP S/4HANA Invoice Automation Architect (OpenText VIM & OCR) position for our client.**
**Location:** Remote
**Duration:** 10 months
**Duties:**
+ Lead upgrade readiness and architectural design for OpenText VIM and OCR/IC solutions in support of SAP S/4HANA 2025.
+ Perform VIM/OCR impact assessments, validate add-on compatibility, OSS notes, patches, and transport strategies for S/4HANA upgrades.
+ Own end-to-end Invoice Automation architecture, including VIM core, Document Processing (DP), exception handling, approval workflows, Fiori apps, and integrations with MM, FI, SD, AIF, IDoc/OData, ArchiveLink, and Output Management (BRF+).
+ Configure and optimize VIM processes: document and process types, BRF+ rules, approvals, park/post logic, 3-way match, tolerances, escalations, substitutions, and SLAs.
+ Design and tune OCR/IC solutions (OpenText Intelligent Capture, SAP BTP Document Information Extraction, ABBYY, or equivalent), including template setup, training, confidence thresholds, and exception handling.
+ Stabilize and monitor inbound invoice channels (email, scan, EDI/cXML, supplier portals) and establish robust error handling using AIF, SLG1, queues, dumps, and analytics.
+ Define and execute comprehensive E2E testing strategies, including regression, UAT, and automation for PO, non-PO, and service invoice scenarios.
+ Plan and execute data migration and cutover activities for in-flight documents, approvals, GR/IR, and archived content.
+ Ensure SOX/SOD compliance, auditability, and secure handling of PII within OCR and invoice workflows.
+ Lead hypercare, performance optimization, knowledge transfer, and development of L2/L3 support playbooks.
**Skills:**
+ OpenText VIM (SAP Invoice Management by OpenText) configuration and technical extensions
+ OCR/IC platforms: OpenText IC, SAP BTP DOX, ABBYY, or similar
+ SAP S/4HANA FI/MM invoice processing and integration
+ BRF+, BAdI/BTE, AIF, IDoc, OData, Fiori, My Inbox workflows
+ SAP monitoring, analytics, and error-handling frameworks
+ Strong documentation, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills
**Experience:**
+ 7–10+ years of SAP experience with deep expertise in OpenText VIM and invoice automation
+ Proven success supporting SAP technical upgrades (ECC to S/4HANA or S/4HANA releases) with VIM/OCR in scope
+ Hands-on experience with AP processes including PO/non-PO, 3-way match, services, credit memos, GR/IR, and duplicate detection
+ Experience with compliance, audit controls, and records retention
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $55.00 to $61.00 per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
