Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis, Authorization & Security Consultant to manage, secure, and optimize SAP landscapes. The role involves ensuring system stability, implementing robust authorization frameworks, and safeguarding enterprise data across SAP environments.
Responsibilities:
SAP Basis Administration
• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, etc.).
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage transport requests, client copies, and system refreshes.
• Oversee database administration, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
Authorization & Security
• Design and implement SAP authorization concepts (role-based access control).
• Maintain user accounts, roles, and profiles across SAP systems.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
• Implement segregation of duties (SoD) and mitigate conflicts.
• Support GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) integration for access control.
System Security & Compliance
• Apply SAP security patches, kernel upgrades, and vulnerability fixes.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOX, and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, logs, and alerts.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to align SAP security with enterprise policies.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements.
- Provide guidance on secure design and authorization during SAP projects.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for administrators and end-users.
Must-Have Skills:
• Strong expertise in SAP Basis administration (installation, upgrades, performance tuning).
• Hands-on experience with SAP authorization concepts and security frameworks.
• Knowledge of SAP GRC Access Control and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with databases (Oracle, HANA, SQL Server) and operating systems (Linux, Windows, Unix).
• Experience with cloud-hosted SAP environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Minimum 5+ years of SAP Basis & Security experience, with at least 2+ end-to-end implementations.
