Sanitation Worker
**Job Title: Sanitation Worker** Job Description As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for effectively cleaning all assigned areas both inside and outside the manufacturing plant, including equipment, machinery, and general grounds. You will adhere to food safety standards, proficiently use plant touch screens, and follow Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures. Adherence to HAACP principles is essential, and you will demonstrate the safe and proper use of cleaning tools such as squeegees, mops, brooms, hand and floor scrapers, and paint brushes. You will also need to read and understand labeling on cleaning products and sanitizers. Responsibilities + Clean and sanitize all assigned areas within the manufacturing plant. + Adhere to food safety and HAACP standards. + Operate plant touch screens and follow CIP procedures. + Use cleaning tools correctly and safely. + Read and understand cleaning product labels. Essential Skills + Experience in sanitation, preferably in a manufacturing setting. + Knowledge of GMP and HAACP principles. + Ability to perform janitorial duties efficiently. + Understanding of cleaning and sanitizing protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2-3 years of experience in sanitation within a manufacturing environment preferred. + Experience in janitorial roles from other industries is also considered. Work Environment This is a fast-paced, production-based environment that requires effective communication. Located in Belcamp, you will be working in a medium-sized manufacturing company that produces both edible and non-edible products. The work environment involves working in the shipping and receiving department, which is not overly large. Steel-toed shoes are required for safety. The shift starts at either 7 or 8 am and ends at 5:30 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belcamp, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
