**Job Title: Sanitation Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a sanitation worker for a 2-week contract from July 28 to August 16. The role involves cleaning an industrial food manufacturing facility, focusing on areas adjacent to production zones to ensure food safety. This position requires independent work, with daily self-management of tasks provided through work orders. The main objective is powder control in all areas outside of production, which can become very dusty. **Responsibilities** + Sweep, clean drains, manage garbage storage and removal, and vacuum daily. + Wash floors and dispose of powder twice weekly, which involves lifting 20kg to shoulder height. + Conduct a deep clean of the warehouse weekly. + Perform a full clean of dryer machines every 10 days, requiring a 9am-1pm work schedule for two days. + Participate in an annual warehouse racking clean out. + Be prepared to address unexpected spills or messes, such as product leaks. + Work primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks such as taking out garbage and cleaning loading docks. **Essential Skills** + At least 6 months of experience in sanitation or janitorial work within an industrial setting. + Experience and comfort with performing repetitive tasks. + Ability to read and understand English. + Physical capability to bend, lift, and reach, including lifting 20kg to shoulder height. + 6 months of experience operating a swing machine or circle scrubber. + Experience using floor washing machines and knowledge of proper floor scrubbing techniques. + Comfortable working alone and not in group settings. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in food manufacturing. + Scissor lift experience and/or certification. + Forklift experience (SDCB) and/or certification. **Why Work Here?** Join a reputable and growing company that is expanding its facilities to meet customer demands. Most of the facility is room temperature, but some areas, such as oven rooms, can be warm to hot. The facility includes a large staff room with vending machines and a full kitchen, as well as change rooms. There are allergens on site, specifically dairy. The sanitation team consists of one supervisor and three team members, with two additional members cleaning offices. The dress code includes a smock, helmet, and ear/eye protection, all provided. Employees must bring their own STWB. Flexible hours are available, with a latest start time of 5pm. Every 10 days, an oven shutdown requires one team member to work from 9am to 1pm, rotating among the team. **Benefits:** We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
