The Sanitation Technician will work independently throughout the plant, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas. The role requires completing a daily rotation checklist of basic cleaning tasks.
ResponsibilitiesVacuum inside mill structures and packing buildings.Dust pipes and remove cobwebs.Clean major and minor spills during production as needed.Wash flour silos from top to bottom.Clean and sweep sifter, mill tower, and packing tower.Check magnets in the scale area.Maintain cleanliness of stairways, balconies, and flour silos.Sweep and clean spilled corn from outside silos and mill structures.Wash gutters, structures, and roofs throughout the plant.Pick up trash, pallets, cans, and cardboard throughout the plant.Set up equipment for various tasks as required.Assist in taping, sealing, and fogging in warehouse and packing areas.Apply sanitizers and other cleaning agents in production areas.Clean and sanitize interior drains and production equipment.Handle chemicals and equipment safely, adhering to safety protocols.
Essential SkillsAbility to follow simple written instructions.Ability to read, write, and speak English.Reliable transportation to and from work.Ability to work at elevated heights up to 80 feet.Good attendance is crucial.
Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience is preferred.Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb ladders, and push carts.

Work Environment
The work environment involves exposure to various weather conditions and dusty areas due to flour. Hearing protection is required due to noise levels. The role requires adherence to a specific dress code, including a purple hard hat, clean jeans or work pants, steel-toe boots, and a belt. Shifts are from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and Saturday work. Personal cell phones are not allowed on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.15 - $23.15/hr.
