As part of the site Quality Team, you will lead sanitation crew members during your shift to ensure the facility is cleaned safely, effectively, and in full compliance with SSOPs, GMPs, allergen control, Zoning, and IPM requirements. You will ensure sanitation tasks are completed on time and meet standards that support food safety and production readiness.
You will combine hands-on leadership with strong attention to detail to guide sanitation crew members, reinforce safe and effective cleaning practices, and escalate risks that could impact food safety or startup reliability. You will play a critical role in ensuring sanitation expectations are understood, executed consistently, and documented accurately.
In this role, you will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve sanitation challenges, support improvement activities, and help build a culture of cleanliness, discipline, and safety while delivering top-quality products.
How you will contribute
Sanitation Execution
Lead sanitation crew to complete cleaning tasks accurately and on time, ensuring documentation and pre-op readiness.Perform sanitation verification checks (ATP, visuals, allergen checks, documentation).Ensure correct SSOP execution and appropriate use of chemicals, tools, and cleaning methods.Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve sanitation access issues and in-shift barriers.Escalate sanitation, allergen, FM, or pest-contributing conditions to management immediately.Safety & Quality
Model safe work practices and ensure adherence to PPE, chemical handling, and LOTO requirements.Support GMP walkthroughs, environmental swabbing, and clean-equipment swab programs.Identify and correct pest-contributing conditions such as debris, residues, water pooling, or structural gaps.People Leadership
Provide daily direction, expectations, and performance coaching to sanitation crew members.Train team members on sanitation techniques, hygiene behaviors, and safe work rules.Support onboarding and skill development for new sanitation employees.Build a positive, accountable, and productive team environment.Delivery & Improvement
Ensure sanitation tasks are completed in full to enable production start-up.React promptly to sanitation issues impacting equipment readiness or production schedules.Identify recurring sanitation challenges and support improvement activities led by the Manager or Process Engineer.What you will bring

Education / Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required.Associate’s degree or technical certification in Food Science, Quality, or related field preferred.Training in chemical safety, sanitation procedures, GMPs, and IPM highly preferred.Job specific requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in sanitation or production leadership required.Strong working knowledge of sanitation practices, SSOPs, GMPs, chemical handling, and safe work procedures.Experience supervising or leading hourly teams preferred.Experience performing sanitation verification (Swabs, Visual inspection).Strong communication and ability to collaborate across shifts and functions.Ability to work off-shifts, weekends, and during sanitation-intensive windows.Work schedule:

Salary and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $73,900 to $101,640; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time.
