Our client, the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Sanitation Manager to join their team. As a Sanitation Manager, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the sanitation and production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Sanitation Manager
**Location: Milton, Pennsylvania**
**What's the Job?**
+ Oversee and manage the overnight sanitation team to ensure all equipment and facility areas are cleaned and sanitized according to industry standards.
+ Develop and implement sanitation schedules and procedures to support daily startup requirements.
+ Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA standards.
+ Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure seamless shift transitions and operational readiness.
+ Maintain documentation and records for audits and compliance, supporting continuous improvement activities.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in sanitation and operations within the food manufacturing industry.
+ Strong knowledge of sanitation chemicals, methods, and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, GMP, SSOP, HACCP).
+ Experience managing cross-functional teams and overseeing sanitation and production activities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and record-keeping systems relevant to sanitation and production.
