Sanitation Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Lead to manage and guide our sanitation crew within the food manufacturing industry. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure adherence to safety, quality, and sanitation standards while effectively communicating with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

Enforce company Lock Out Tag Out and food safety procedures across the sanitation teamTrain crew members on proper handling and identification of approved sanitation chemicalsEnsure compliance with GMPs, regulatory standards, and company directives for product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee safety, and environmental practicesAssign and oversee daily workload for sanitation techniciansCoordinate with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality teams to complete timely sanitation of equipment and areasConduct sanitation audits and implement corrective actions when neededPartner with the Quality team to develop and improve sanitation procedures, techniques, and testing plansSupport departmental training on SOPs, GMPs, and documentation requirementsMaintain and service sanitation equipment, including preventative maintenance and recordkeepingMonitor crew performance to ensure adherence to SOPs and sanitation standardsPerform routine sanitation tasks such as area inspections, cleaning, sanitizing, and auditingPrepare work orders, tool checklists, and assist with Master Sanitation Schedule documentationReport issues and concerns promptly to appropriate personnel

Essential Skills

Minimum 1 year of experience as a sanitation lead, with a preference for 2-3 years.Leadership experience and ability to direct others.Strong time management and problem-solving skills.Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
