Job Title: Sanitation Lead

Job Summary

The Sanitation Lead supports the Sanitation Manager in overseeing sanitation operations in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This includes supervising sanitation and janitorial staff, performing cleaning duties, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with safety and food quality standards (FDA, SQF). The role requires collaboration with QA, Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and HR.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise sanitation and janitorial staff during shift hoursClean and sanitize equipment, tools, and facility areasConduct inspections, ATP swabs, and environmental samplingPerform air, compressed air, and nitrogen quality testingMaintain and verify sanitation records (Master Sanitation Schedule, quality checks)Monitor and update sanitation systems and documentationPrepare and monitor chemical concentrations and sanitizersOperate cleaning equipment such as auto floor scrubbersEnsure compliance with SSOPs, SOPs, GMPs, and safety regulationsProvide backup support to QA, sanitation team, and Sanitation ManagerQualificationsEffective communication and leadership skillsAbility to write procedures in English or SpanishSanitation experience preferredAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyComfortable using tablets and reading safety documentsBenefits401(k) with company matchHealth, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid life insurancePaid holidays and paid time offShort-term and long-term disability coverageWhy Work Here
