As part of the site Quality Team, you will spearhead the transformation of sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across the bakery. You will play a key role in elevating compliance with global food safety standards, fostering ownership and discipline, and strengthening sanitation and GMP execution throughout the organization.
You will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and change management skills to drive improvement in sanitation programs, hygienic design, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and verification systems. As a site expert, you will focus on embedding capability and accountability at all levels—simplifying programs, building strong routines, and enabling teams to consistently deliver safe, high-quality products.
In this role, you will influence cross-functional teams, including Quality, Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering, to solve systemic issues and advance our sanitation and GMP systems. While taking ownership of your area of work, you’ll help ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues while reliably producing top-quality products within our integrated supply chain.
**How you will contribute**
+ Redesign and simplify GMP routines, expectations, and governance to build strong ownership across functions.
+ Lead targeted turnaround efforts for sanitation or GMP performance issues in high-risk or underperforming areas.
+ Develop and deliver capability-building programs for sanitation and GMP, including training, visual tools, and standardized routines.
+ Strengthen PIC/PEC as a functional tool for scheduling, verifying, and documenting deep cleaning activities.
+ Enhance clean-equipment swab programs to accurately measure sanitation effectiveness andidentifysystemic gaps.
+ Develop and managemaximumrun length extension processes, including documentation and data analysis.
+ Identifysystemic sanitation program gaps and deploy structured, sustainable improvements.
+ Partner with Engineering and Maintenance on hygienic design reviews, equipment improvements, and long-term infrastructure investments.
+ Analyze sanitation, GMP, PEM, allergen, and IPM data to guide risk-based decision making.
+ Evaluate sanitation execution models to improve process performance.
+ Support Project Lift and other transformation initiatives through workshops, assessments, andimprovementsprints.

+ Experience leading sanitation or GMP transformation in food manufacturing.
+ Expertisein CIP/ACS validation, sanitation verification, hygienic design, and deep cleaning programs.
+ Ability to simplify complex systems into clear, teachable routines and drive ownership across levels.
+ Strong analytical capability and data-driven decision making.
+ Ability to influence and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Quality.
+ Demonstrated success implementing sustainable improvement initiatives.
**More about this role**
Education / Certifications:
+ Bachelor’s degreerequiredin Food Science, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
+ Advanced degree (MS) preferred.
+ Formal training in HACCP, PCQI, and sanitation/GMP systemspreferred.
Job specific requirements:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in sanitation, food safety, quality systems, or manufacturing technical roles.
+ Demonstrated experience leading sanitation or GMP transformation in a food manufacturing environment.
+ Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives (AM/PM/QM or equivalent).
+ Strong project management and change management capability.
**Salary and Benefits:**
The base salary range for this position is $122,000 to $167,750; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
