Job Title: Sanitation Technician
Job Description

The primary role of the Sanitation Technician is to ensure the cleanliness of the plant production equipment and facility to meet stringent food safety, customer quality, and worker safety requirements. The technician will configure and operate sanitation machinery and equipment following established procedures and guidelines, reading and interpreting control sheets, technician manuals, and standard operating procedures to clean and sanitize food contact surfaces.

ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize plant production equipment and facilities to meet safety and quality standards.Configure and operate sanitation machinery and equipment according to established guidelines.Read and interpret control sheets, technician manuals, and sanitation standard operating procedures.Perform janitorial duties including sweeping and general cleaning tasks.Use hoses and perform cleaning duties, including cleaning under equipment.Lift and move objects up to 50 lbs as necessary.Essential SkillsExperience in food production or sanitation is preferred.Strong ability to work collaboratively with others.Excellent communication skills with the ability to read and write basic English.Basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in production settings is beneficial.Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents is advantageous.Why Work Here?

This position is based in a high-quality ice cream production plant. The work involves handling various cleaning tools and equipment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eugene, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
