**Sandblaster Paint Sprayer** **Job Description** Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor, the Painter/Blaster is tasked with preparing and painting crane parts and assemblies to meet production and quality standards. This role involves sandblasting, surface preparation, mixing and applying coatings, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications. The Painter/Blaster operates in accordance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and safety practices while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. **Responsibilities** + Sandblast and prepare parts for primer and topcoat applications. + Read and interpret instructions from assembly drawings and work orders. + Inspect parts for quality and adherence to specifications. + Perform minor assembly as necessary to prepare parts for painting. + Move parts in and out of the paint booth using proper equipment. + Mix paints and coatings according to specified ratios and requirements. + Select, prepare, and apply coatings to achieve the required color and finish. + Ensure all technical specifications, quality, and safety standards are met. + Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely. + Operate Class B forklifts for material handling. + Maintain paint booth, equipment, and supplies in a clean and safe condition. + Order paint and related supplies as required. + Investigate and test new paint products and make recommendations for improvements. + Support lean culture initiatives through waste elimination, continuous improvement, and customer-focused quality. **Essential Skills** + Industrial painting and/or sandblasting experience preferred. + Ability to mix, match, and apply paints, primers, and coatings. + Familiarity with spray-paint equipment, sandblasting tools, and respirator use. + Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions. + Forklift certification (Class B) or ability to obtain. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. + Ability to work independently or as part of a team. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED preferred. + Experience in industrial paint, auto body painting is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a decent amount of overtime in a very safe work environment with a family feel. The company is lenient with attendance and offers a full benefits package once converted. **Work Environment** This is a first shift opportunity working Monday - Thursday from 6am-4:45pm with occasional overtime on Fridays or weekends, especially at the end of the month when workload increases. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving cranes, heavy equipment, welding fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. Employees must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and employees may need to climb ladders, work at heights, or operate forklifts and overhead cranes with proper training and certification. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GEORGETOWN, TX. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.75 - $25.75/hr.
