**Job Title: Sandblaster**
**Job Description**
The Sandblaster Paint Sprayer is responsible for ensuring that only parts properly prepared for paint are accepted and for manually moving parts through the painting, flashing, and drying sections of the paint system. This role encompasses the entire paint process, including mixing paints and solvents according to manufacturer specifications and correctly operating automated mixing equipment. The application of liquid paint to meet specifications using electrostatic and traditional paint guns is a critical component of this position.
**Responsibilities**
+ Accept only parts that are properly prepared for paint.
+ Manually move parts through the painting, flashing, and drying sections of the paint system.
+ Mix paints and solvents according to manufacturer’s specifications.
+ Operate automated mixing equipment correctly.
+ Apply liquid paint to meet specifications using electrostatic and traditional paint guns.
+ Ensure parts remain in the flashing and drying sections of the paint system for the specified time.
+ Inspect work and correct as necessary.
+ Perform periodic cleaning/flushing of paint/solvent delivery systems as required.
+ Ensure maintenance of all paint system equipment is accomplished as specified, whether scheduled with the Maintenance Department or as part of the paint work process.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint system and work area.
+ Assist as needed in all areas of the paint line operation.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Ability to perform strenuous repetitive work.
+ Ability to work while wearing a respirator and protective clothing.
+ Must pass pulmonary function test and respirator fit test.
+ Attention to detail and desire to produce high-quality parts.
+ Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

**Work Environment**
The work environment requires the ability to perform strenuous repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 lbs. Employees must work while wearing respirators and protective clothing, ensuring safety standards are met. The environment is fast-paced and requires meticulous attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
**Location & Shift**
The location is in Trussville, AL and the shift is a strict 2nd shift 3:30pm - 1:00am
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
