Sandblast Operator

**Description:**
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sandblaster to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing surfaces by using a high-pressure stream of abrasive materials such as sand or grit. The sandblasting process removes contaminants like dirt, paint, and rust, ensuring surfaces are clean and ready for subsequent treatments such as painting or coating.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Operate and maintain sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently.
+ Prepare surfaces by cleaning and masking areas not to be treated.
+ Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
+ Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures.
+ Perform routine maintenance on sandblasting tools and equipment.
+ Assist with general labor tasks and material handling as needed.
**Work Environment:**
This is not a typical production environment. The role requires working with urgency and precision to meet production demands. Candidates must be able to manually lift and move parts weighing 45+ lbs, either independently or with a partner. Efficiency, safety, and adaptability are key to success in this fast-paced setting.
**Qualifications:**
+ 2+ years of sandblasting experience preferred.
+ 1+ year of general labor experience.
+ Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
+ Willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential—90% of success in this role is based on trainability and mindset.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
