Job Description

The Sample Recieving Department Manager is responsible for received samples and and shipping department materials by: gathering, keeping stock, and ordering products that meet customer requirements; product planning and product marketing; defining the products department vision; shipping and receiving vendor and client orders; working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams and Customer Service Executives to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The individual will be required to work closely with the sales team and be responsible for growing the products division in a manner that supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Sample And Recieving Department Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Supervise and coordinate all sample management activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillmentDocumenting, packaging and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocolsResponsible for quality control of all assignment and completing documentsFollowing and enforcing company health and safety policies.Must be able to follow technical instructions and guidance.Will assist with data collection and routine sampling as needed Will assist with scheduling routes for additional couriersResponsible for approval of time worked, approving paid time off and other administrative duties.Develops and monitors group work schedules based on current and projected workloads and adjusts staffing resources as neededEnsures that the laboratory group members maintain effective communication in order to eliminate waste and scheduling delays. Continually developing a team that works well togetherAdherence to corporate policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Responsible for departmental SOPsSets targets, standards for and monitors productivity and timeliness within the group

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.  BS or BA degree is preferred, but not required. Minimum of three years of laboratory experience or similar experience with customer service, sample login and creation of sample collection kitsMust be able to work standing for most of the dayMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds on repeated basisAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., with overtime as needed. 

Starting Base Rate of $23.00- $27.00, based on experience.
